CLINTON ROAD

We refuse to give directions or too much information pertaining to the location of this one to keep the people that lack common sense safe and our consciences clear. If you do actually know where this is and intend to visit, We ask you to please be careful and practice common sense. Under no circumstances do we condone going to this or any other location posted on this website - for safety and legal reasons be careful.

Many years ago there was to be a new highway constructed to ease congestion on the existing highways especially during rush hours. Environmentalists went crazy, as this construction had to take out a large wooded area. The construction paused briefly and because of that pause, was permanently canceled. The ramps were already built, as were the overpasses. They've been left all these years to the elements and whatever weirdos decided to claim them.
I've also just recently been told the mountain looking area in the pics is full of natural asbestos.

There've been stories of the KKK and Satanists there for as long as I can remember, as there is with any abandon location. So of course when I became old enough to put myself at risk, I did some exploring (as have friends of mine over the years.)
I'm not sure most people would believe or want to believe the stories, and I wont go deep into detail because of that.

Some examples are voices heard at all hours of the day and night, not just one or two but large groups, sometimes supposedly chanting. People see large groups off in the middle of the woods. Blood splatters on trees and the ground (Yes, I'm sure it was blood, No I'm not crazy, not about that at least.)
Some claim to have seen people in hoods or robes, I haven't but I wouldn't doubt it. Cops wont go in there, they don't follow people in there, even though I'm sure going in there is illegal. It reminds me of how rare seeing cops on Clinton road is, although I've seen them there but never here.

Over the summer we attempted our first exploration together (August 2003.) It ended with us being pussys and leaving within a 1/2 hour. We got up the ramp, turned our lights on once we thought we were out of sight, got to the woods and kinda freaked out. We never really had an issue staying at an abandon or supposedly haunted spot before, but we decided we needed a bigger group for this, after we took our first look into the dense overgrowth.
There was of course the typical graffiti. After the growth started, covering part of the ground, and some buses were red splatters and drippings. (Here's where you assume we're making shit up or it was just paint.) We've had our share of paint mistakenly called blood (Annie's road & Split rock.) This looked nothing like it. It didn't look like someone threw a bucket of paint, it wasn't sprayed on, It was just little splatters and drops. I had no interest in finding out anymore that night. There was only 4 of us, two chicks and two guys. (One chick and one guy had no interest in this type of stuff to begin with and are complete pussys.  The owner of this website is insane and will go anywhere at anytime with someone at his side, but I was a little iffy) (ill take that as a compliment ~Jay)

October of 2003 - we were driving around and happened to be what had to be behind the highway. I saw a new way in without even trying, it still being day light we gave it a shot.
The back way in turned out to be very steep, and difficult to maneuver, but it was doable (although I doubt so at night.) We wandered for about 2 hours, we checked almost the whole thing except for the deep wooded areas, we figured we had something to do in a little bit and we'd wait for winter to come so it would be easier to get through. Most of it wasn't too bad, we found some strange things. The sweatshirt being the strangest, the car 'graveyard' was interesting too since there's no driving up to that spot where they were.
Also a little strange was the concrete barrier that was uprooted from its spot (the nails holding it in place twisted and bent over), I don't know why anyone would move it but it must have taken a lot of people to do so.

We'll be adding more information on this soon.
