Legend&History:
Back before there was a
Great Adventure Safari...There was Jungle Habitat. On the sign, it says Warner
Bros.. So ill assume it was owned by the same people.
Stories of the animals being abused are heard frequently, as
are stories of people being attacked, But for whatever reason this place closed
down. People were reporting wild animals such as kangaroos in their backyards. I
haven't been able to find any of such stories in a news paper yet.
Our Trip:
The gate
had been knocked down, and even before it was we saw no "No Trespassing" sign,
so we headed in without any worries. As far as we can tell, Its just a large
beautiful piece of land. Lots of birds but that's about it for any animals we
saw. It has large parking lots, and lots of hills and paths to follow.
We saw some remains of houses, and a few still intact, but
nothing amazing to note.
We're currently trying to find a map of what it was like when
it was opened to explore it better, but no luck yet.
