CLINTON ROAD

Legend:

There isn’t much about this place said. Someone said they went there and found 'Mary’s' wedding dress and diary. Well whatever he found in the diary he didn’t tell anyone much.
Also said is that 'Mary' went insane.  Why the place is abandoned...who knows?

 Our Exploration:

This one we were never given good directions to and therefore felt challenged to find it. We gave up all other investigation and searched for this. We were soon rewarded with an approximate location.
We drove around for ours, scouting the area. No parking in sight, and lots of neighbors around to call the cops. But we finally found it.
We carefully snuck in, somehow undetected. It sat on a beautiful, large lot full of wildflowers.
When you first enter and get close enough you see a tower and numerous abandoned & beat up cars, including two pickup trucks.
The side room, where the wedding dress and diary were supposedly found was boarded up so we trekked through the greenery to the open front door.
There was nothing that amazing inside. Four floors that were basically all the same. Two bedrooms and a bathroom. The ground floor was almost all gone, the floor was basically dirt. In the main bedroom on the first floor there was a hole in the corner that when you looked down looked like a well. Stone walls, with water at the bottom.
The part that was boarded up was accessible from the inside. It housed the kitchen - complete with oven & refrigerator & another room that looked like it could have been an office.
There was also an attic full of crap that we didn’t even bother with.
The house was in terrible shape, from years of abandonment and people who love to destroy stuff.
Outside, around the side you see an old VW Beetle trapped in the bushes.
Also some kind of tunnel - which we didn’t check out because it was covered with weeds and vines. Maybe we'll attempt it during winter.

We had attempted a return trip to Mary's because we were in the area, but unfortunately there were to many people out-front of the house across the street. I do have to give it to Tory for finding this one again by just looking at a map. She rocks my socks! Umm... anyway, we didn't get into Mary's, but we found this other abandoned house instead.
