CLINTON ROAD

Staten Island - NY.

The Henry McFarlane House - also know as Mcfarlane-Bredt House - And at one point the New York Yacht Club is located on the north shore of Staten Island. Built in 1841, It was designated as a Landmark by NYC in 1969.

It adjoins the Alice Austen House property.  Parks Department claims they're going to restore, But on their website it says there's still people living there. I finally got a chance to check it out with Ryan. The property is now surrounded by a fence. Scaffolding is scattered around the house... Hopefully the restoration is underway and the building will eventually be opened to the public. Its in such poor condition the restoration will probably take a long time. I cant imagine people were living in it anytime within the past couple of years.

We didn't enter the house, the fence kept us out for the time being. Id rather enter on legal terms if the house is to be opened anytime in the future.
