Located on Route 9, in South NJ, You'd barely notice it unless looking for it.
We were looking for it, But i was more interested in the McDonalds across the street to be honest. Heading down 9, after seeing numerous other sites, I tell Jay to turn into McDonalds, but across the street is the vet... dammit no food for me yet.
We circled around back, checked out the kennels... From the front it was locked up tight so we figured we weren't getting in. The two front doors were glass and surprisingly not shattered.
The kennels were wide open, so we wandered into the maze of fence, noting that all the gates to the kennels were removed. A basketball hoop stood just outside the kennels surrounded by weeds and tall grass. Oddly enough also in the back in the weeds was also a boat.. A fairly decent sized motorboat.
We noticed several of the doors in the back open, so we headed back to the car to get flashlights since there was another car out front and we weren't sure if we were alone.
The ceilings are falling in, and the floors were a bit slick from the rain earlier that day. But other then that, it was a typical vet office.
How long this place has stood empty I don't know, Out front you can see a sign saying that a Walgreen's plaza is coming soon. So I'd assume this place is slated for demolition fairly soon.
Inside - you can see where the cages were stacked against the walls at one point. The waiting room is almost exactly as it was left when abandoned. Chairs lining the walls with the receptionist desk in the middle.
Not a very "scary" place to search, but a fun one all the same.
