Along the portion of Route 61 diverted around Centralia, You come across a badly worn and weathered building.
The building at one point belonged to the Locust Run Coal Company. Nicknamed the Byrnesville Wash House, It was a place for miners to wash up after they finished work, and a garage/storage building.
The doors no longer exist, the ceiling is full of holes and collapsing, and the floor is littered with debris. If you're in the area on a Centralia trip, its worth the drive by.
