CLINTON ROAD

Wyndcliffe, a 24 room mansion, was built in 1853 for Elizabeth Schermerhorn Jones. It was also known as Linden Hall Or Finck Castle, because of a later owner, Andrew Finck.  Andrew Finck was a beer baron from New York City.

Wyndcliffe was abandoned sometime around 1950 but remained in good condition until the 1980's.  The eastern turret collapsed in the late 90's, and now the center of the mansion is completely gutted. The house has since been bought, and construction seems to be underway.

It's once 80 acre grounds have now been reduced to a mere 2 1/2 acres. At one point this mansion was a beautiful, waterfront home. It's since lost its river access, and is surrounded by private homes.

**We ask that if you are interested in viewing this house, you please do so from behind the fence. Don't ruin one of the few serious attempts at someone saving history**
